          Today most graphite fishing rods begin as a long, blank, graphite rod without guides or a handle. Although they are all close, each blank is still unique and has its own characteristics. As a custom builder I fit the components, guides, and handles, to the uniqueness of each blank. Flex characteristics, guide style, handle type, and how the rod is to be used all affect the layout of a custom rod. Due to budget constraints, factory built rods cannot receive this attention to detail.

          Many buyers of custom fishing rods choose some form of decorative work to make the custom fishing rod truly theirs (see the galleries).
